Full time positions

Extended health benefits include:

 

  • Alberta Health Care premiums– Taber Special Needs Society pays 50 percent upon completion of one full year – 100 percent after completion of 5 years continuous full time employment
  • Alberta Blue Cross – Taber Special Needs Society pays 50 percent of the Benefit plan. There is also opportunity to take advantage of the Personal Spending Account for expenses not covered thru the Blue Cross Plan.
  • RRSP- After completion of one year continuous service, Taber Special Needs will match and hold in trust, an amount equal to the employee contribution not exceeding 3% of the employee annual wages. The Employee must complete two years continuous employment with Taber Special Needs Society in order to receive the employer portion of the RRSP. The Employer portion increases to a maximum of 5% after 5 years continuous employment

Vacation

  • Following the completion of one year continuous employment – 2 weeks holidays
  • Following the completion of two years continuous employment – 3 weeks holidays
  • Following the completion of six years continuous employment – 4 weeks holidays

Permanent – Part time

RRSP

Following the completion of one year continuous employment, employees in a permanent part time position of 24 hours per week or more, have the option of contributing to the RRSP plan. Taber Special Needs will match and hold in trust, the employee contribution upto 3% of the employee’s annual wages. The employee must complete two years continuous employment with Taber Special Needs Society in order to receive the employer portion of the RRSP. The employer portion increases to a maximum of 5% after 5 years continuous employment.

Vacation

Employees will receive vacation pay monthly based on their current salary

Employees working 0 to 5 years will receive 4% of their wage – 6% following five years of employment. Although the employee is paid out monthly, Taber Special Needs Society encourages their employees to take annual vacations.
